This project has started on the idea of “How could we provide better machines and solutions to our customers”, which came to our notice as we get involved in manufacturing in Thailand.
Okuma, a high-rated machine tool manufacturer in Thailand, says our mission is to “evolve manufacturing” by working every day to develop cutting-edge technologies.
However, it is up to the customer to make the best use of the capabilities of these machine tools, and we felt that we were not being able to fully respond to our customers' total concerns about what kind of touring, measurement, CAD/CAM, peripherals, and such would contribute to production.
For example, are the tools and holders used in cutting the most suitable ones? What about the program? What about the method used to measure after the cutting? These are just few out of the points which came to our attention. Preventive maintenance of machines is receiving attention as it greatly affects productivity, but as a manufacturer, we believe there should be more we could do in providing information on machine maintenance.
Today, a wide variety of information can be obtained through the Web, but each manufacturer provides its own information, which creates a situation where it is difficult for customers to find the information they want because there is too much information. We will build a system to provide information that meets the needs of our customers by regularly providing useful information together with manufacturers with most advanced technology involved in manufacturing in Thailand.
